Vinyl has become the standard for signs for most client needs.

The images above are of a vinyl cutter. This machine has a very fine blade for cutting shapes out of the rolls of vinyl. It is currently loaded with blue vinyl, but there is a wide range of vinyl's imported from over seas ensuring there is quite a selection of colours. All basic colours are covered including a small range of reflective vinyls that are tremendously effective for signage that needs to be clear at night. When you consult with our sales person he will help you select the right vinyl for your need. From the "budget" vinyl for very short term use, to the 8 - 10 year vinyls we use on very long term signs. We fit the quote to fit your budget.
Budget vinyl is often used on mid- to long term signs to keep the cost low. The problem is, that budget vinyl shrinks after a few months. The vinyl will tear and you are left with a dirty edge around it from the glue left behind. Using the correct vinyl for your need can be the difference between a professional sign attracting new business and some thing that will make your clients wonder if you care about your company.

We re-trace the images using Corel Draw, with a eye on quality we ensure a capture of your logo accurately and cut the different colours from the selected vinyls. Once the cutter is done one of our team takes the vinyl and removes the excess vinyl, this process is called "weeding". Above are two images of how we "weed" the vinyl once it has been cut. The cutter is fed the shapes from a computer, this gives us a high level of accuracy.
We apply a layer of "application tape" to the vinyl. This tape can be made of paper or plastic. When the application tape is pulled up the vinyl is lifted with it. Now we put the tape with vinyl, onto the surface that the vinyl needs to be applied to, this is called "vinyl application"
The vinyl sticks to the object much better than the application tape does. We remove the application tape and the vinyl stays behind. This part of the process sounds easy but ensuring there are as few bubbles as possible or folds can be very tricky.
This whole process can take from an hour for a small sign to a whole day for a delivery truck. Factors that affect the time scale include : Size of application, number of colours and shape of object being applicated on. Smoother or flat objects are quicker.
Always remember to ensure that the surface that you want to applicate to is clean and clear of any chemicals.
